User Online helps app managers watch user sessions from one dashboard. Users are grouped by app, with search and data masking in the view. The dashboard can send messages to one user or many, maintenance and maintenance-finished notices, and logout commands to client apps that support them. CPU, RAM, and disk statistics come from the WebSocket server. The package contains the built server binary and the built dashboard bundle, including frontend assets. Source code is not included. Your client apps need to be integrated with the WebSocket server for monitoring and user commands to work. You install it on your own infrastructure. Hosting, domain, certificates, and integration with your apps need to be prepared separately. This product is still being prepared for release. The package guide, license terms, support, and integration testing need to be finished before it is published.

How it differs from Google Analytics

Google Analytics analyzes visitor activity through recorded pages and events. The GA4 Realtime report covers activity in the last 30 minutes. User Online shows WebSocket connections that are still open in the apps you have integrated. This connection count can differ from the user count in Google Analytics and does not always match the people actively using an app.

For day-to-day operations, User Online provides user messages, maintenance notices, logout commands through the client integration, and server CPU, RAM, and disk statistics. Traffic and visitor analysis can still be handled by Google Analytics. You can use both together as needed.
